Bu T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131\nen ac\u0131 deniz kazas\u0131d\u0131r. K\u00f6rfez kan a\u011fl\u0131yordu. G\u00fcnlerce \u015fehrin her il\u00e7esinden\nher mahallesinden cenazeler kalkt\u0131 cesedi bulunmayanlar\u0131n yak\u0131nlar\u0131 sahillerde\n\u00e7ocuklar\u0131n\u0131 bekledi cesetleri ile kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131nca feryatlar ba\u015flad\u0131. Bu faryadlar\nt\u00fcm T\u00fcrkiye\u2019den duyulmu\u015ftu. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin kalbi K\u00f6rfezde \u00e7arp\u0131yordu. Dayan\u0131l\u0131r\nbir ac\u0131 de\u011fildi gencecik evlatlar\u0131n\u0131 kaybetmi\u015flerdi.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O zamanlar Cumartesi g\u00fcnleri Devlet daireleri, Bankalar ve Okullar \u00f6\u011fleye kadar a\u00e7\u0131k olmas\u0131 nedeniyle yaln\u0131z cumartesi G\u00fcnleri\u2019ne mahsus olmak \u00fczere 12.30 seferi vard\u0131. 12.30 \u0130zmit\u2019ten kalkan vapur, Kavakl\u0131 (13.00), G\u00f6lc\u00fck (13.10), Donanma (13.20), De\u011firmendere (13.30), Hal\u0131dere (13.40), Gonca (13.55), Ula\u015fl\u0131 (14.10) ve de Ere\u011fli\u2019ye (14.25) u\u011frad\u0131ktan sonra 14.40\u2019ta Karam\u00fcrsel\u2019e var\u0131r, be\u015f dakika sonra buradan hareket ederek tekrar ayn\u0131 iskelelere u\u011fraya u\u011fraya \u0130zmit\u2019e d\u00f6nerdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"814\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alibozoglu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/uskudar-4.bmp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-536\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Mart 1958 Cumartesi g\u00fcn\u00fc \u00dcsk\u00fcdar gemisi\u2019nin kaptan\u0131 Mehmet Kaptan hava patlamadan bir an \u00f6nce hareket etmek i\u00e7in sab\u0131rs\u0131zlan\u0131yordu.\u00a0 Lodos f\u0131rt\u0131nas\u0131 \u00f6ylesine kuvvetli esmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131 ki, neredeyse vapuru halatlar\u0131n\u0131 kopar\u0131p a\u00e7\u0131\u011fa s\u00fcr\u00fckleyecekti. B\u00f6ylesine sert bir havada iskelede ba\u011fl\u0131 kalmak ta, a\u00e7\u0131k denizde dalgalarla bo\u011fu\u015fmak kadar tehlikeli olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnen Mehmet Kaptan; ya\u015fam\u0131nda ilk kez hareket saatini beklemeden vapuru kald\u0131rd\u0131. Daha \u00fc\u00e7 dakikas\u0131 vard\u0131, ama vapur zaten yeterince dolmu\u015ftu. Daha fazla yolcu almaktansa iskeleden bir an \u00f6nce ayr\u0131lmas\u0131 iyi olaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnerek gemiye hareket emri vermi\u015ftir. Gemici Ali Kaya iskeledeki \u00e7\u0131mac\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcrlerde olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan halat\u0131 kendi \u00e7\u00f6zmek i\u00e7in iskeleye \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Ama Mehmet Kaptan \u00e7oktan makine dairesine \u201cTam yol, ileri!\u201d kumandas\u0131n\u0131 vermi\u015fti Vapur iskeleden f\u0131rt\u0131nan\u0131n etkisiyle de o kadar \u00e7abuk ayr\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131 ki, Ali Kaya vapura geri atlayamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Hava, birden gece gibi simsiyah kesilmi\u015f ve lodos f\u0131rt\u0131nas\u0131 giderek h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Mehmet Kaptan Bin bir g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fckle dalgalara do\u011fru \u00e7evirdi\u011fi vapurun burnunu ayn\u0131 y\u00f6nde tutmak i\u00e7in dalgalarla sava\u015f\u0131yordu. Bunca y\u0131l K\u00f6rfez\u2019de yolcu ta\u015f\u0131yan Mehmet Kaptan bile r\u00fczg\u00e2r\u0131n \u015fiddetinin daha da artmas\u0131n\u0131n tela\u015fa kap\u0131lmaktan kendisini alamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Emektar vapur nas\u0131lda bir anda yana yat\u0131vermi\u015fti! Dev gibi dalgalar nas\u0131l da art arda geminin bordas\u0131na \u00e7ullan\u0131yordu. F\u0131rt\u0131na giderek artmas\u0131 nedeniyle kaptan k\u00f6\u015fk\u00fc Mehmet Kaptan ve Gv Lostromosu Mustafa Deniz\u2019le birlikte yerinden kopup denize u\u00e7mu\u015f, d\u00fcmen zinciri k\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f Kontrolden \u00e7\u0131kan gemi saatte 130 km h\u0131zla esen r\u00fczg\u00e2ra kar\u015f\u0131 koyamad\u0131 \u00d6nce Makine dairesine sular doldu. Ayn\u0131 anda \u00f6ndeki ikinci mevki salonun camlar\u0131 patlad\u0131,\u00a0 i\u00e7eri sald\u0131ran sular deh\u015fete kap\u0131lan yolcular\u0131n \u00fcst\u00fcne bo\u015fald\u0131! Hareketin \u00fcst\u00fcnden 26 dakika ge\u00e7mi\u015fti ki, \u00dcsk\u00fcdar dolan sular\u0131n etkisiyle \u015fiddetle sola devrildi. Schichau Gmbh. Tezg\u00e2hlar\u0131nda iki adet yolcu\ngemisi in\u015fa ettirmi\u015ftir. Bu gemiler&nbsp; 72\nbaca numaras\u0131yla \u00dcsk\u00fcdar 73 baca numaras\u0131 ile Rumelikava\u011f\u0131\u2019d\u0131r.&nbsp; 148 gros, 64 net tonluktu.33 metre uzunlu\u011funda,\n6,6 metre geni\u015fli\u011finde. su kesimi ancak 2 metre kadard\u0131. \u0130n\u015fa edildi\u011fi tersanenin\nyap\u0131m\u0131 350 beygir g\u00fcc\u00fcnde, \u00fc\u00e7 silindirli bir buhar makinesi vard\u0131. Tek\nuskurluydu. H\u0131z\u0131 \u0130lk y\u0131llar\u0131nda 10 mil olsa da zamanla h\u0131z\u0131 8 mile kadar\nd\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Teknede baz\u0131\nyerlerde sa\u00e7lar\u0131n y\u0131rt\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131, \u00fcst kamaran\u0131n da meydana gelen panik nedeniyle karmakar\u0131\u015f\u0131k\noldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.
