Baz\u0131lar\u0131 ilk seferinde batan Titanik\ngibi iz b\u0131rakt\u0131, baz\u0131lar\u0131 iki bacal\u0131 d\u00f6rt direkli G\u00fclcemal gibi haf\u0131zalarda\nya\u015fad\u0131, baz\u0131lar\u0131 kaptanlar\u0131 ile an\u0131ld\u0131 S\/S Ankara \u015eefik G\u00f6gen, S\/S Tarsus\nNecdet Or gibi. Bunlar\u0131n yan\u0131nda baz\u0131lar\u0131 da vard\u0131r ki, ismi ge\u00e7tik\u00e7e\nhat\u0131rlan\u0131r veya hat\u0131rlanmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131l\u0131r. Pek \u00e7ok gemi de \u00e7oktan haf\u0131zalardan\nsilindi ve tarihin k\u00fcfl\u00fc sayfalar\u0131 i\u00e7inde yerlerini ald\u0131. \u0130\u015fte su gemileri\nbunlara \u00f6rnek gemilerdir. Bu gemiler, Deniz Kuvvetleri Komutanl\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019ndaki s\u00f6yleni\u015fiyle\nyard\u0131mc\u0131 s\u0131n\u0131f gemilerdir. Gemiden gemiye mekik dokurlar; baz\u0131lar\u0131 yak\u0131t,\nbaz\u0131lar\u0131 k\u00f6m\u00fcr, baz\u0131lar\u0131 da su ta\u015f\u0131r. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deniz\nMecmuas\u0131n da yay\u0131nlanan bir yaz\u0131da; \u201c1938 y\u0131l\u0131nda yurt d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda yapt\u0131r\u0131lan ve\nal\u0131nan gemilerden bahsettikten sonra \u015f\u00f6yle devam eder; \u201cBa\u015fl\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131na bir\nyenilik yapan ve 19 Temmuz Sal\u0131 ve 20 Temmuz 1938 \u00c7ar\u015famba g\u00fcn\u00fc birbirini\ntakiben liman\u0131m\u0131za gelen iki yeni su layterinden bahsedece\u011fiz. Liman IV ve\nLiman V tesmiye edilen bu iki yeni su layteri Almanya\u2019da, Hamburg\u2019da in\u015fa edil\u00admi\u015flerdir.\nLiman\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n su ihtiyac\u0131n\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131lamak maksad\u0131 ile eldeki vas\u0131talar\u0131n\nkifayetsizli\u011fi na\u00adzar\u0131 itibara al\u0131narak tam manas\u0131 ile modern olan bu layterlerde\nb\u00fct\u00fcn kolayl\u0131klar ve seri su al\u0131p verme tesisat\u0131 yapt\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Beheri 310 ton\ntatl\u0131 su alabilecek kapasite\u00adde olan bu gemiler (300) fren beygir kuvvetinde\nDeutz Dizel motorlar ile m\u00fccehhezdirler, y\u00fck\u00adl\u00fc vaziyette, saatte 9,5 mil s\u00fcrat\nyapmaktad\u0131r\u00adlar. Gemilerin tarz\u0131 in\u015fas\u0131 aynen bir ya\u011f gemisi \u015feklindedir. Bir\npetrol gemisinin minyat\u00fcr\u00fc o\u00adlan bu layterlerde gemi personelinin b\u00fct\u00fcn es\u00adbab\u0131\nistirahat\u0131 temin edilmi\u015ftir. Geminin k\u0131\u00e7 ta\u00adraf\u0131ndaki k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck k\u0131sma pek mahirane\ns\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u00adt\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olan kamaralar\u0131, yemek salonunu, mut\u00adfak ve banyosu b\u00fcy\u00fck\ngemilerdekinin ayn\u0131 geni\u015fli\u011findedir. Keza ba\u015f tarafta d\u00f6rt ranzas\u0131 ve geni\u015f an\u00adtresi\nmevcuttur. Su tulumbalar\u0131 ayn\u0131 fabrika mamul\u00e2t\u0131n\u0131n k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck mikyastaki motor ile\nm\u00fccehhez ve t\u00fcrbin pompalar\u0131n\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fc\u011f\u00fc saatte 120 di\u011feri 60 ton su basmaktad\u0131r.\nGemilerde yang\u0131n ve tahlisiye\ntertibatlar\u0131 \u00e7ok m\u00fckemmeldir. Bu ufac\u0131k teknelerin menakibi de ayr\u0131ca bahse\nde\u011fer birer hadise te\u015fkil eder. 30 Haziran 1938 g\u00fcn\u00fc Hamburg\u2019dan hareket eden\nbu gemiler hi\u00e7 bir yere u\u011framaks\u0131z\u0131n do\u011f\u00adruca \u00c7anakkale\u2019ye gelmi\u015flerdir. 3800\nk\u00fcsur millik mesafeyi ve Atlas Okyanusu\u2019nun en m\u00fchlik bir yeri olan\nBaybiskie&#8217;yi ge\u00e7erken \u00e7ok a\u011f\u0131r ha\u00adva ile kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131p da hi\u00e7 tevakkufsuz a\u015fabilen\nbu tekneler bu a\u011f\u0131r f\u0131rt\u0131nan\u0131n afet halini ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 esnada birbirlerini kaybeden\ntekneler telsiz cihazlar\u0131na malik bulunmamalar\u0131 y\u00fcz\u00fcnden bir\u00adbirlerini\nbulamam\u0131\u015flar ve \u00e7ok endi\u015feye d\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015f\u00adlerdir. Bu sebepledir ki, birer g\u00fcn ara ile\n\u0130stanbul\u2019a gelebilmi\u015flerdir. Do\u011frusu olduk\u00e7a b\u00fcy\u00fck gemilerin bile m\u00fchim\nhavalarda ge\u00e7meyi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fckleri bu denizleri b\u00f6yle ufac\u0131k teknelerle ge\u00e7en Alman\npersonelinin cesaretleri \u015fayani takdirdir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her\ng\u00fcn i\u00e7in tekemm\u00fcl etmekte bulunan \u0130stanbul liman\u0131 b\u00f6yle. Modern su vas\u0131talar\u0131 ile\nher s\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131k anlarda be\u015f on gemiye birden su yeti\u015ftirilebilecek kabiliyettedir.\n\u0130ki yeni geminin istiap etti\u011fi miktar 620 ton ve m\u00fckemmel bir vaziyette\n\u00e7al\u0131\u015fmakta bulunan iki b\u00fcy\u00fck ve iki k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck motolay\u00adterlerin istiaplar\u0131 yek\u00fbnu\n260, gerek buharl\u0131 bir su gemisi ve gerekse di\u011fer 4 duban\u0131n da ye\u00adk\u00fbnu 290 ton\nki, ceman 1170 ton suyu bir anda temin edebilecek olan \u0130stanbul liman i\u015fletmesi\nb\u00fcy\u00fck noksanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 da tamamlam\u0131\u015f bulunmakla \u015fayani iftihar bir eser meydana\ngetirmi\u015ftir. Su i\u015fleri bak\u0131m\u0131ndan \u0130stanbul\u2019u belki d\u00fcn\u00adyada birinci derecede\nde\u011filse de ikinci s\u0131n\u0131f i\u015f\u00adlek limanlarla mukayese edebilecek bir vaziye\u00adte\ngetiren bu gemilerin yaln\u0131z liman\u0131m\u0131za gelen sefaine (Gemiye) su temin etmek\nde\u011fil ayn\u0131 zamanda Adalar\u0131n da su ihtiyac\u0131n\u0131 temin edebilecektir ki, bu \u00e7ok\nde\u011ferli bir hizmet demektir. Bu suretle A\u00addalarda su bak\u0131m\u0131ndan \u015fereflenmi\u015f\nbulunuyor. Gemi 1925 y\u0131l\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye\nSeyr-i Sefain \u0130daresi\u2019nin kadro\u00adsunda yer al\u0131nca bu sefer de su gemisi haline\ngetirildi ve gemiye \u201cMiralay Naz\u0131m Bey\u201d ad\u0131 ve\u00adrildi. 1936 y\u0131l\u0131nda hizmet d\u0131\u015f\u0131\nb\u0131rak\u0131larak sat\u0131\u015fa \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131l\u0131nca Ali ve Ziya Beyler tara\u00adf\u0131ndan al\u0131nd\u0131, ad\u0131 da \u201cGen\u00e7\u201d\nolarak de\u011fi\u015ftirildi. l955&#8217;te H\u00fcseyin Kalkavan&#8217;a sat\u0131ld\u0131.
